For the tail lamp, it's easy. Two plastic wing nuts (that can also accept a wide flat-head screwdriver) and you can pull the light away from the body. Disconnect ture harness at the grey plug if you want to get it completely away from the body, if not, that connection is on a small piece of plastic. You can pull thr connection off to give slack in thr harness to flip it over. The stud is near the front and takes a small wrench (10mm? I forget). Loosen it to push the lamp away from the body. Test fit, check for gap, adjust as required.
I had the problem too and just fixed it when I pulled the lamp to test plasti-dip. If you aren't secure with leaving the nut loose, measure the gap you create between the stud and tail lamp and find a washer of similar thickness so that you can install on the stud.
