Absolutely incorrect. Tint and paint have NOTHING to do with each other. If thats how tinting was explained to you, you are going to a shady businessperson.
Not sure why you are even asking this. You didnt take your car to someone who is licensed and insured, so any damages are not covered by insurance and the person doing the work is liable.
You can either make her pay for the headliner(which any reputable business would do), and also not pay for the tint as compensation for the inconvenience, OR
do nothing and live with it.
