There are a lot of off brands though which I find concerning when buying wheels. Some you'll be ok with but a lot of the no-names end up being made in China with no quality standards. The best thing to look for is to see if the wheel is TUV, JWL or VIA certified. Typically if it has one of these the wheel will be decent enough to run without to many quality issues, although they still might bend easily.
Generally, Tirerack is pretty good about filtering out the crap.
Discount Tire on the other hand, is not.
Any wheel can bend, though. Cracking or separation of the rim from the hub is what you should really be worried about.
