For Northern Maine winters, my FoFo is as low as it could possibly be without risking damage. I envy folks that can lower their cars an inch and not pay dearly for it in winter. That said, winter up here can be a blast!

. It would appear that our cars are slightly lower than many of the competitor's compact cars.
When I switched my 17's (OEM Titanium size) for winter 15's (OEM S size), she dropped about 1/4 inch.
