I did it a few weeks ago but it was a total pain in the rear- I nearly shredded the darn this trying to wedge it in there. I had to disconnect all the fuse box's power cables (also meaning I had to disconnect the battery), and even then there was barely enough room to get it in. I tried to remove the fuse box entirely; which is probably what Ford techs would have done, but I couldn't figure out how to remove it.
