Hi, I think any insurance inspection, if it were to take place because the police saw signs of tyre rub, easily spotted after an accident, would say that the vehicle had be modified and not pay out. At the end of the day it is up to the owner whether to take the risk, personally I wouldn't take the risk in removing the limiters as they are there for a reason as I have no problem manuvering my car an any of our, often narrower, roads and car parks. As to if you do because you've fitted narrower wheels, it is still making a modification to the steering what ever way you look at it.
