i normally keep it at reasonable levels but idk how efficient the old lighting and climate control systems are... i mean the damn controller is a giant differential amplifier built from individual parts in the 80's...
and clearly if me and brad playing around with wiring for a few hours and running the dome light can kill the battery i don't have enough safety margin...
plus what if i want to wire up seat heaters??? that'll be an additional draw on the battery and alternator (but it will make my butt oh so happy)...
still not sure if i want to go through all the work for seat heaters though... because eventually wilhelm will be a summer-only car. (once i get a nice cheap 240D manual) then i can also save ALL the money on diesel cause the 240 is crazy efficient (47mpg) but real slow (but i can live with slow)
