I would rather wait a lil longer and not have to worry about the probs other people have had i just wish the dealer would have told me up to 12 weeks instead of 4-6
My dealer salesman did tell me 10-12 weeks, but when he gave me an update with the build date and ETA of week of 10/31, I got excited that it was going to get here earlier. If mine does get here between 11/29 and 12/6, it will be 10-11 weeks total for me. I don't have MFT, so that wasn't the holdup for me.
I got the railcar number from my salesperson, and found info on how to track it at http://gm-volt.com/forum/showthread....-Order&p=49360
(post# 937 about half-way down the page). I don't think CSX intends for car buyers to be using their railcar tracking system, but if not too many people do it we hopefully won't create a problem. My car is in Delanson, NY, I think en-route to CSX's TDSI terminal at Selkirk, NY. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it doesn't take too long to have a full truck of vehicles for delivery to the small dealers in my area.
I found it interesting that it had departed Binghamton, NY when I checked earlier. CSX system map doesn't even show they have main track there, so I expected it would come across the main CSX rail in upstate NY, right through the town where I live.
