not sure if GI bill is automatic or voluntary but contribute to it, I did not and now I wished I had.
figure out you want to do , don't go into something you don't want because that is all they have..... they may tell you well you could switch later... never happens...
plan to stay in for the long haul.. its a good gig.. i got out after 9 years and tried to get back into the reserves a few years ago, my hearing went south and i could not get back in.
