We pick up our 2012 SE auto sedan tomorrow morning. The interior of the Civic turned my wife off - we never even bothered to drive it - but my wife and daughter said the Focus was just so easy to drive, seats four at least, with great visibility and a useable trunk, and good on gas.
The Sport Pkg was a must, though; I won't buy another car with drum brakes, especially in a stability-controlled world. Discs are self-adjusting, and I've spent enough time messing around with rusting "non"-adjusting mechanisms on Honda rear drums.
I have great hopes for the torque-vectoring traction control in snow, and pulling-into-traffic-from-a-side-street-in-the-rain: I was impressed enough with the car's suspension.
