The black rubber material that runs the all the way around the windows and all the way around the rear quarter window is a new material called TPE. It's a new biodegradable material this is the first car ever with it. It's a much softer rubber than what is used on other cars like say the earlier focus they use a material called PVC. The TPE material can smug and scratch pretty easily. Infact if you clean your windows with a rag and you run the rag across the rubber it'll leave some really dark lines in it.
A Good tip for cleaning those up exspecially if your one of those neat freaks that carry a detail kit with you at all times. Go out and buy a box of Mr. clean magic erasers. Take the sponge out of the box (wet if you'd like But it works better dry) and lay it on the rubber and pull the sponge hard enough to leave a mark but not hard enought so the sponge rips apart (again you can push hard enough to make it fall apart but the sponge won't last as long) run a nice smooth pull with the sponge you'll notice the marks dissapper instanly. Then simply wash off with water. Done looks good as new.
Thanks for the tip, Greatly appreciated!
