Having same problem
Hey, so I was reading this thread because I'm having the same problem. I followed all the steps recommended by another user.... I have a 2005 focus sedan

Checked the fuse (appeared to be fine)
Brake lights and horn both work
Even checked the wiring from the brake line (no clutch, its an automatic)

Anything else I can try? Please know that while I can find my way around an engine, I'm not TOO car-savvy. However, I use cruise control ALL THE TIME, and can't really afford to be paying for a costly repair at the moment.
