Nice writeup and pictures. Two little things, if you're trying to get the "tubing" from the hardware store, technically it is called a pipe nipple and I'd use a grommet where the wire goes through the firewall to prevent chaffing the insulation. Not that any of us drive in a manner to cause vibration or flexing.
