This all is true, best option is to run wheels manufactured in 4x108 with correct hub sizing. Re-drilling into virgin material would be the next best option. Filling with tig welding is questionable, the heat affected zone from welding will be weak and brittle.
I've been using my rota's for 2+ years now with no problems, I think they're a viable option, considering the price. I like to say they are lightened by Rota's propiatary void casting technology;)
