-straps on bulletproof vest and helmet-
You guys are more than a little bit off-topic. Question was if it was necessary to have a wideband with a tune, nothing about who tunes better and blah blah blah blah.
Is it necessary to use a wideband when getting your tune with bolt-ons? Well, is it necessary to get new camber plates when you get a drop? Do you have to replace shocks and struts when you get new springs? Should you put white grease on factory bolts you have taken off to do suspension work or even replace them with new ones? All of these questions have similar answers. No, it is not necessary. Your car will still function. It will not, however, function at its highest potential with what you have just added. If you want to get the most, then spend the extra money, take the extra time, and do it all.
