Yes, the South Bend clutch is made of a feramic (no, not ceramic, feramic) compound. Very durable. Apparently if you get a feramic clutch too hot, it will weld itself to an aluminum flywheel...now, I didn't know this when I bought the clutch, but I don't plan on getting it that hot any time soon. Some shops recommend resurfacing stock flywheel or going with steel instead of aluminum.

Ugghh, now people are going to think I'm a supporter of OBX. The main reason I got it was that it had 6 vac ports (more than others in the same price range) and was black so it would blend in. All I was going for was functionality and cost; had nothing to do with brand name.
