Generally what I do is let it run about 30 seconds before I take off, like 8 months out of the year....during the colder months I'll let it run 2-3 minutes usually.....
Now however, I have a baby to cart around, so when he's gotta go in the carseat, I run the car as long as it takes for the interior to warm up before I put him in it.
