I have this issue when logging on my 05 Duratec. I assume this is some sort of Binary Floating Point math issue.
It only seems to show up once or twice in a trace, but it maxes out the graph, due to the automatic scaling so all the correct values in the trace just appear as a flatline, rendering the spark graphs useless.
If you can't find/fix the problem at it's source could you limit the max spark value in the graph to something like 60?
This way the occasional spurious spike will just peg off the chart, but the remainder of the trace would remain valuable....
