DETROIT -- Ford Motor Co. said on Wednesday it will fix malfunctioning heated seats in 33,000 Focus cars, two-thirds of which were sold in Canada.
Some 2003 and 2004 model-year Focus cars are fitted with heating pads that are not properly bonded to the lower seat foam, potentially leading to uneven seat heating, Ford spokesman Glenn Ray said.
"What can happen is it can become too hot," Ray said.

Might want to call the dealer and have them check for any recalls. I've seen Focuses come into the shop with the seat covers melted because of heat, but even if it's not covered, the Focus heated seat is pretty warm, I shut mine off after about 10-15 minutes.
Heated seats in TX? Really?
