No, all you would have to do is send your info to someone like Tom. Things like car year, model, and modifications. Then he will send you a tune thru email. All you have to do then is buy a USB cable and download SCT's LiveLoad software and load the tune to the programmer. Then install it on the car. Just make sure your year, and model are supported thru SCT.
