I use the same mount and I really like it.
The rattle that you refer to will return. That's my only complaint.
One final suggestion is to mount it on the driver seat vs. the passenger.
Your weight in the seat will help to lessen the vibration and shaking that you WILL see under high stress driving (such as AX or track events).
It's a good product.
