Good thread. I found that the installer had tightened the upper rear shock bolts all the way down. In the process, he damaged one of the dust boot clips that stick out the top. When I wiggled the top bolt, the shock 'snapped' into place (centered). but the dust boot clip is missing one of the ears. Do I need to replace it? Also, How do you tell if the top bushing is damaged? They look OK, but as I don't know what I am looking for its not a valid observation.

Edit: regarding the "missing" ear. I see it, there not missing, 2 are crushed into the hole (1 fully and the other has about half sticking out). They still provide centering. Just clarifying above.
