the surround goes on fine, it really doesn't take that much pressure to get it on. Easiest way to do it is to get a real small drill bit, and pre-drill very small holes so that the screws do their job easier. Second (AND VERY IMPORTANT) DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. If you do, you are screwed (litereally and figuratively). The material isn't very thick, and you can strip it quite easily. However, you shouldn't have to apply much pressure in order to get them in. Tighten the screws near the front first about half way, then the rear about half, then the front until tight, and then the rear this is the best way to do it. I've had mine for about a month now and no problems whatsoever.
