Had a great time yesterday. First time on the Patriot course at VIR. Lets just say Patriot is more of an autocross track than Summit Point Shanendoah; there is no straight section!
As people know, I'm not the fastest person out there; quite the opposite. But I was able to keep it close to some people and not be dead last on the transponder list. Managed to eek out a 1:01.8 as a best time.
Then I handed the keys over to Nikolas...
And within 20 laps, on a course he hasn't been on before, turned a 58.78 (FTD was a 54.27 in an STi). Good to know she has it in her, and probably still plenty more.
Here is a quick video from yesterday. Audio from my camera sucks, so I had to cover it up with some other audio. Cold track, and my first session out, so I'm still learning it. (and ignore my bare arms. Forgot to lower my sleeves)
