Got my license about 4 months before the end of my dad's lease term on a 1998 Lincoln Navigator... drove that to school and work! When that was up, I was borrowing his Taurus (2 year prepaid lease on the Nav cost more than a new Taurus!) until I could afford my first car... 1996 Contour GL, later bought a new 2001 ZX3, got a lot of notice from the cops, eggyolk yellow should have been re-named "Ticket Me Yellow", sold that and bought a 1993 Mercury Villager to save on insurance, got married, and finally wanted a new(er) car desperately... so I searched... I really wanted a 1.8t GTI, but couldn't justify the price difference when the SVT handled so much better.

Brand loyalty to Ford is because my dad builds prototypes and special machines for the auto industry, Ford in particular.
