^^^ as long as you kept the rubber gaskets that seal up the bottom of the light and hold your LEDs in place i'm sure you could rig something up. Just buy the smaller 3mm LEDs off ebay that come with the resistors.
As far as aiming the lights, there are screws in the back that stick out that you can aim them. There's a diagram on the other thread that describes the ebay halo lights.
