Ah ha...I see you updated this to show that the CEL is on, not the (!).
If it were me, I'd take it to a shop that can read the code.
Since the CEL is on, there should be a code stored that can be read.
Anything funny going on driving wise, other than the light?
And again, CEL shouldn't be related at all to the counterweight delete.
Double check under the hood near the linkage to make sure you didn't pop a wire off somewhere.
