Jason Kolk took 26th, Ryan Schnackenberg took 27th, Dan Townsend took 36th, and Van Townsend took 37th in SM in Focuses

ALL at the 2005 Solo II Nationals....

The Focus and the SVTF is not a viable competitor on a national level in just about ANY class.

Like I said.....there's a reason people aren't using the car on a national level. It's just not competitive enough. Too heavy, gearing wrong, not the right suspension.......whatever. People will buy and use the best car for the class if it will give an advantage. The Focus has none.

Yes, but when a particular car wins, people take notice. If an SVT Focus won at Nationals, I bet you a lot of the competition the following year would be comprised of more SVT Foci.
No......people do their research. At the national level competitors look at LOTS of factors to decide what will be the best car for the class in the following year. An SVTF just won't "win" nationals. A Focus in HS probably won't either.

Remember OmniFocus? It took him driving a MINI to place well enough at nationals. He couldn't compete in HS in his Focus until he drove a borrowed MINI.......
