When the VW Golf/Jetta/Scirocco came out with a light whippy cable shifter that had no feel, the HOT mod was to add a weight to the linkage!!! WOO HOO!! Everyone raved about the difference - SOOO much better. If you go to the old VW tuner sites, they are still getting $$$ for weighted links!!!
Now the good'ol boys at SVT think this mod was great for the dubs so even tho it costs extra $$$$ they add a weight to make us happy. And the first thing everybody does is hack it off!!!
