The Canyon Run "05" June 18th - Colorado

"Well the time has come, this is the 4th annual event of the CSVT (CEG) and SHO run of Colorado. Everyone is welcome, if you cant make Springs Zing, next best thing. Last year we had 16 cars, great turnout. This is a one day event through the Colorado mountains. Something you will not forget. I hope everyone can attend.

Pull up a map site and you can follow the layout.

Canyon Run "05"

Meeting in Colorado Springs 9am, leave C/S at 9:30am.
Area 1: Colorado 24 From C/S to Hartsel
This is the starter roadway for the Canyon Run "05". It is an awesome roadway but it is so heavily patrolled that you have to stay at the posted limit, ask CoolSVT! This roadway has some awesome views once you get over the mountains and into the valley.

Area 2: Colorado 9 From Hartsel to Parkdale
This is the road I most enjoy for speed. This roadway has light traffic and great bends and turns. They do sneak up on you very quickly so make sure you are ready for them. When I tested this roadway I pushed my car and the turns did come up very fast, be careful all, I got sideways, but it was controlled !

Area 3: Colorado 50 From Parkdale to Texas Creek
This is the same as last year. This is a very fun piece of roadway when the traffic is light. I remember running through here and seeing those 4 motorcycle cops going the other way. Dang, I think everyone's face dropped. Hopefully no cops this year ! We will stop at Texas Creek just like last year and take pictures and piss.

Area 4: Colorado 69 From Texas Creek to West Cliffe
This is a very high speed roadway, not very many turns, not much to say, but be careful passing, don't want to piss people off to much.

*I am working on lunch plains* any ideas ????

Area 5: Colorado 96 From Westcliffe to Colorado 165
This is a fun roadway, you may see a cop or two on this roadway, but after eating, no one drives too fast. "I think"
Colorado 165 is the road of roads, the big daddy of the whole run. This roadway has some awesome turns, great straights and is just perfect for driving excitement. Bishops castle will be our stop, some people have never seen it, others can climb it and talk to the crazy person building it.
We will return the same way back down Colorado 165 to Colorado 96.

Area 6: Colorado 96 to Pueblo Aka: Dead mans curve !
Well I hope this year everyone can keep it on the road ! J/k At the begin of the roadway it is a very tight canyon, make sure your speeds are low enough to handle the turns. After that it is a straight run to Pueblo. We will meet at the City Park parking lot for a last photo shoot and to say good bye.

This Canyon Run will be the best ever. Everyone is welcome, any ford out there that wants to come. We had 8 people in "02". 8 people again in "03" and 16 people in "04"/ I would like to see even more this year.
Canyon Run "05" bring a camera "

Dono how many FF guys are intrested but i'd be great to see more and more foci come out of hideing.

it's been cancelled, due to almost all of the cougar and contour and SHO guys having to do last min stuff to their rides, to get ready for the All Ford Day at Bandi on the 26th..

i'd go, but i'm going to the drift show off at PPIR and up Pike's Peak the day before.
