Hey All,
We just picked up an 03 wagon with manual trans. and only 25k miles on it!
I am glad I found this forum, anyone have any issues with driving in the mountains? I will be taking the car for a decent drive today to really see how it does.

Well I did have issues, I do have an automatic SE 2001, the cruise control was not shifting my gears properly and I had to disconnect it, (I dont mean curves, I meant cruise control on long open straight roads in the Southwest, where you do not notice the inclines well, but actually you are going through thousands of feet in elevation changes on long grades. One time I was going through new mexico and went on a long straight mountain grade and my cruise control overrevved and flooded the fuel pump. I had to get it replaced.

I think with manual, you will be fine, since you know when to shift :)

Nice! A wagon AND a manual! Fantastic combination. I haven't had any issues in the mountains except burning more fuel from downshifting!

Nice catch getting a 5 speed wagon with low miles. Mountain driving should be a blast in that. Let us know how it did,

You'll love the rare spec mtx wagon, and these command resale prices as well.
