Went to the track today!!

Ok, so I went to the drag strip when I first got my car; long before we could turn off the T/C. I bogged super bad, probably had a 9 hour 60' time. Long story short, 16.1 @ 99.1mph. Yeah, bad. Today, I woke up early, and took the SVTF to the track after the turbo, intercooler and tuning...I'll just break it down...

These runs are IN ORDER (note my improvement)

60' = 2.643
1/4 = 14.32
MPH = 106.43

60' = 2.641
1/4 = 14.21
MPH = 107.14

60' = 2.629
1/4 = 14.16
MPH = 106.60

WORST Run
60' = 2.731
1/4 = 14.49
MPH = 102.72

60' = 2.406
1/4 = 14.178
MPH = 106.85

This run marked my car as an OFFICAL 13 second car!
60' = 2.256
1/4 = 13.90
MPH = 106.79

60' = 2.365
1/4 = 13.97
MPH = 106.18

The BEST run of the day...solid gold baby!!
60' = 2.181 <~ I rocked the launch!
1/4 = 13.69
MPH = 105.68
(on this golden run, my ashtray actually flew out and hit my arm!)

After this I had consistant 13.9's and then I got hungry so I ate, then I was hot so I left. A lot of 9 second muscle cars came and started breaking and holding up the line, so I just decided to bail out and call it a day.

Not bad for a guy that "Sucks at drag racing."

Oh, and as they say, the proof is in the pudding....I like the butterscotch flavor.

Based on your mph, your car is certainly capable of low 13's. I like the improvement with each run. Where did you run at? I go to Mason Dixon Dragway in Hagerstown, MD sometimes. Perhaps, if you're ever in the area we could meet up. Nice numbers and nice times. Its making me think more about either that N2O kit or Procharger system.

not bad man. Definitely have room for improvement! I usually go to Cecil County quite a bit, although, I have not had a chance to go in a while, but Wednesday my dad and I should be there with his 2003 Cobra (Built Motor + Hellion Turbo Kit) and he is hoping for high 10s on 10 psi. I think he might be running his DRs, so he might not hook up as well, but turbos aren't usually as violent as superchargers off the line, so he might be alright. Anyway, good luck with your car, I will look for ya next time I am there.
