The build is moving along. Got my nice fresh Massive SVT Cylinder Head in from Karl today. Running the Cat Cams 14 Grind on Karl's recommendation. Here are some pics of the goodies.

Cams are just resting on the head right now, not under pressure. Switched in the cam trigger wheel from the old SVT cams

No worries, it is FWD. While AWD would be really cool it is a bit beyond the scope of this particular project... and budget ;-)

Someone had asked about the roof vent pics. Not sure if they were looking for something that works with the factory headliner but this mod definitely does not. Here goes none the less:

1. Cut Hole In Roof
2. Bolt Vent into Roof using Sealer
3. Enjoy Air Circulation

Here is where you get the part, it is part A

Truck side vent in the roof may not be pretty, but it'll sure do the job for the application!

Good reading!

Thanks for the build thread.

Starting on the short block assembly... finally...

Measuring the diameter of the Main Bearings for bearing clearances. ARP main studs, main line bore and honed, made this part easy. Everything measured up exact.

Hey man! Doing a rally build myself. Waiting for my tax return to really tear into it but it's pretty much stripped out. I would like a similar rear suspension setup as you... What would you charge to make another haha

I think this might be a one time thing as I am not a professional fabricator. I will snap some pics and make some drawings here soon in the event anyone wants to duplicate it.

Anyhow... assembled the main part of the short block today. plugging along...

Pushed the car around a parking lot today to test the suspension set up, adjustments etc. Should have shot some video, maybe next time...
