i wished that ford would dump some $ into a focus drag racing team and take on all of these stupid import drivers!! i'm tierd of seeing honda and acura even chevy getting into the drag racing while ford stands back. i understand that for some of u, the svt and the ztech motors are formittable cars on the street, without a drag team i don't see ford developing many products for the focus as u see honda has done for the civic along with developing acura into a hell of a car, and chevy is starting to do for the caviqueer. how many of u out there feel the same way, w/ that ford just is not developing the performance of the focus car. this is just my opinion, i want to hear yours, thanks.[?|]

I really like drag racing too. I have won at least 3 desert race wars where I live and have raced everything from cavaliers, hondas (even an S2000) , eclipse, saturn, and whatever else 4 and 6 cyl is out there. I don't know why they don't support the focus, I guess they are busy with the Mustang. With a little more money I can take them too, already beating the V-6

Ford has pretty much always been this way, I have yet to figure out why. The only exception has been the Mustang.

Yeah it would be nice to see Ford back the Focus on the strip.
Take over the street, then the strip, then the world.....

nah dude. GM is done with the Cadavierlier, and isn't there a ford racing focus parts catalogue coming out in Oct? I think it has the Awd kit in it, if i'm not mistaken

Now i know i might sound stupid saying this without knowing much about it, but isnt it kinda good that Ford doesnt start backing the focus into draging and such. Cause then the focus will start becoming like all the honda's out there, and the focus will become a regular for people who want to pose and rice out their car. And it might just be me, but i like the fact that not many people think the focus can be fast, and i want it to stay that way.

^^^ True enough. That is a good point.

that is so true ,but i think that if the focus does go to the track and wins a couple races other companies will start sponcering focus and will start making better parts for it aswell and start putting honda;s behind in the dust!

i would love to see more foci at the track so that why more companies would sponcer the focus, which would in turn allow more products that would become available to all foci drivers. that would be the perfect world.
where i live, unless you drive the svt, you get no respect, and i also believe that if ford would get more involved in the SCCA events (other than the mustang,i.e the focus) would garner more respect by the tuning community.

Why should Ford have a drag racing team for the Focus when Ford has the Mustang?
