Rally Tires Suggestions????

I am looking into a local rally car club in my area, I just getting started. The rules a fairly relaxed and speeds are kept within limits. I need to find a better tire that can handle the grave roads alittle better keeping in mind that there still is a lot of pavement also. I plan on running my OEM 15" alloys. The catch is that once I "prove myself" the wife, then I get cleared to spend more $$ on suspension. Thanks in advance! Below is a typic road for the club

Well, if there's a lot of tarmac and it is dry these are the tires you are looking for... http://www.subesports.com/products/c...ly/prodID/1556

If you want more agressive tires, mostly for dirt roads...http://www.subesports.com/products/c...ly/prodID/1974

Hope they help. These are like the best amateur tires you will find and the price is awesome.

^^^Thanks abunch for the info! Just alittle pricey for my first set. My thought was the pirellis winter ice/snow where I can get all four around $300 and also use them in the winter. But, I do know rally is expensive! Need to keep my first season at a minimum until the little lady approves the larger amounts of cash.

I would try to see if you can find some used snow tires, I run bridgestone blizzaks in the winter, and they work well on back roads. Also mlbbaseball, I go to the LSPR every year, look for a yellow EAP SVT this year! I'll be there, chasing all my friends in Audis...

First, let me say that I know enough about Rally driving to be dangerous.

So, I am NOT an expert and I defer to any and all with more experience.

That said, I do have some friends here in the DC area that Rally and Rally-cross pretty regularly.

Because of the expense, a lot of them are using the Hankook R201, 202, and 203 series tires.

If I remember correctly, each series can be had for about $125-$150 each depending on size.

I have no idea if they are even remotely competitive, but they seem to be the tire of choice in this area.

Just throwing that out for consideration.

^^^This seems to be more of a low-key club, I'm not into danger especially w/o a roll cage. What I het from it, is 70-80% tarmac ans 230% gravel roads in the local state parks. My first plan is to volunteer and do some ride alongs. I'm just getting my rally feet wet and keeping the feelers out there
