PR: CPD Racing finishes fourth overall at Ojibwe Forests Rally
Minneapolis, (August 27, 2007) — CPD driver Kyle Sarasin placed first among his fellow competitors and earned a remarkable fourth place overall finish driving the Go Fast Sports Ford Focus at the Ojibwe Forests Rally in Minnesota. Sarasin’s finish comes on the heels of an eighth place overall finish in Pennsylvania and a fourth place finish at Rally West Virginia, winning the MaxAttack! competition for two-wheel drive cars.

“We had a great battle with our key competitors, Chris Duplessis and Cary Kendall, I knew there was no room for any mistakes,” said Sarasin. “On the first stages we struggled with the dry conditions this year, but after a few changes to the car’s setup I was able to increase my pace with confidence through the sandy turns of northern Minnesota.”

Sarasin’s fast and consistent driving proved especially valuable to adapt to the ever-changing road surfaces throughout the area. “We worked hard on lines in sandy turns and getting back to where the grip was," Sarasin said. "It all worked out well.”

“I’m proud to see Kyle finishing right behind big-name X-Games contestants,” said team manager Graham Evans. “CPD Racing is proud to show a hard-working team can achieve great results with special attention to driver development, a well-engineered vehicle and careful preparation before and during the rally.”

With two class wins and two second place finishes under his belt for this rally season, Sarasin is now leading the two-wheel drive national championship. The fourth place overall finish at Ojibwe places the 18 year old Sarasin in the top ten overall driver’s championship. While being the youngest driver in the top ten, Sarasin is also the only driver in a two-wheel drive car.

custom underbody protection

then the usual rally stuff: custom cage, race seats, hydraulic handbrake, coralba rally computer, peltor intercom, custom mount for spare tire, battery relocated to the back, piaa light pod and lights.
