After Counter Weight Delete Dash Light on
 
ok just did the mod and did read all 13 pages of this stuff and found nothing on my problem, my tranny light is on. so i have no clue but i drove down to the gas station drove all 6 gears and downshifted and they are all there and work no problems, but the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT is on i think it's mad about me taking off the weight, but trying to take it off i did move it side to side to find the best pisiton (sorry my spelling is bad i just spent 3 months in mexico city lol my english is bad) to get at with the wrench, any ways it works fine i like it but i don't like the CEL (light from heck) . HELP por favor... lol

*i didn't knotice it until after the gas station where i did get the right gas and put cap on correctly so that shouldn't be the problem

But, I will offer a little bit of help here.
I take it that the (!) light is on?

On the SVTF, that light generally indicates a cooling problem, not transmission, since we don't have an AT.
Did you by chance knock a wire loose or anything?
I can't see that removing the counterweight has any bearing on that light, unless you did happen to disconnect something.

Ah ha...I see you updated this to show that the CEL is on, not the (!).
If it were me, I'd take it to a shop that can read the code.
Since the CEL is on, there should be a code stored that can be read.

Anything funny going on driving wise, other than the light?

And again, CEL shouldn't be related at all to the counterweight delete.
Double check under the hood near the linkage to make sure you didn't pop a wire off somewhere.

Did you move any wiring that might now be rubbing on the axle and rubbed thru?
