Removing brake drum.
Can somebody tell me how to remove the rear brake drum on a ZX5 2002.On my other car I
just had to remove the tire and then pull on the drum and it was comming out. |
Remove the tire, removed the dust cap, remove the nut, remove the drum...
|
Or, do it the way Ford designed, remove 4 bolts in backing plate, remove drum and hub together. Depends on whether you are replacing the drum, or just hanging shoes

what he said, watch out the brake line is close to the top right bolt =\ |
Thanks everyone for the answer.I was'nt sure about the dust cap because it fits in really tigth
and there seem to be a rubberrized sealant around the joint. |
What size is that nut? I just need to replace shoes and wheel cylinder
|
Yep, they always want to take what they think is the easy way...........
You MUST hit the critical torque of the nut when you tighten it back up, simply good and tight will have you changing the bearing in 30 minutes. |
