The History of my Focus (pics and videos)
 

Well guys I am here to show you a brief history of my focus. I drive a 2004 2.3L lx sedan (base model [:)]). This sums up my first year of modding, and I have not yet decided if there will be a full second year of modding. It is possible that I may buy a new car soon.

Now there is nothing super special about this car, but I have taken my time to do it the way I believe is right. If I had $15k to throw away this thing might just have a v8 in it, but I can't.

Total spending in modifications to this car is about $3,000.

January, 2004. The car is stock and brand new. I got the cheapest one I could get. As advertised in the newspaper: Sedan, mtx, cassette player, manual windows and locks, no AC. At about 2,600 lbs this puts my little lx in favor of performance over some of the more "loaded" foci.

Second mod: A big step backwards. It has since been replaced.

Obx muffler with custom 2.25" piping. Crush bent. Crap.

June, 05

The can had to come off. I wanted a better look, better sound, and more power!

Installed a Trubendz 2.5" flexback exhaust w/magnaflow muffler

Summer, 05'

Time to stop messing around and get some real modding done. I finished off my summer by installing an Eibach Sportline system and 17X7" Voxx Mg wheels with 215/40-17 Hankook Ventus HRII tires. I also got window tint 45% front and 15% rear.

The house on the left belongs to the owner of a big McDonalds franchise. I know the guy personally (worked for him) and I know somewhere in there he has a Porsche 911 Turbo, Ferrari 360 spider, z06, and some other goodies stored away in there.

His daily driver of choice: A Focus Wagon.

So yes he owns expensive sports cars and does not drive them. What a waste!

your focus looks mean as hell in that picture....


though im not a fan of sedans, you did this one up pretty tastefully.... but why did you opt for no a/c? i dunno maybe i cant comprehend becuase i live in FL.

I got no AC because I was in high school working at McDonalds, and didn't have much money. My parents gave me $7500 to get a car. I paid the rest. I wanted a new car but not a KIA [;)] This car was advertised in the newspaper for a bottom line price of $9,300, so I took it. I can live without the AC. It never gets too hot here in San Diego.


This is my first car, and my first project. I think I am off to a decent start.

I think you are off to a great start. I have a white sedan Lx too, but mine came with a/c. Those 1st pics of your car made me think of mine when mine was stock. You have done yours very tastefully, and I give you props for that.

I'm curious to see what the dash looks like with no A/C! Or does it still have knobs with no functions?

Anyway, the car looks amazing. 100 times better than it was originally.
