The History of my Focus (pics and videos)
Well guys I am here to show you a brief history of my focus. I drive a 2004 2.3L lx sedan (base model [:)]). This sums up my first year of modding, and I have not yet decided if there will be a full second year of modding. It is possible that I may buy a new car soon.
Now there is nothing super special about this car, but I have taken my time to do it the way I believe is right. If I had $15k to throw away this thing might just have a v8 in it, but I can't. Total spending in modifications to this car is about $3,000. If you would like to see the nicest pictures of the current car, just scroll to the bottom, otherwise you can read about my car's history. January, 2004. The car is stock and brand new. I got the cheapest one I could get. As advertised in the newspaper: Sedan, mtx, cassette player, manual windows and locks, no AC. At about 2,600 lbs this puts my little lx in favor of performance over some of the more "loaded" foci. http://img133.imageshack.us/img133/9339/17tn2.jpg January, 05' First Mod: MM CAI Nice choice, and a cheap 10 horsepower http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/1740/21so.jpg February, 05' Second mod: A big step backwards. It has since been replaced. Obx muffler with custom 2.25" piping. Crush bent. Crap. http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/4917/38ap.jpg http://img133.imageshack.us/img133/3363/43ew.jpg March, 05' SVT upper grille, SVT headlights and Euro Lower grille installed. http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/7651/55ex.jpg June, 05 The can had to come off. I wanted a better look, better sound, and more power! Installed a Trubendz 2.5" flexback exhaust w/magnaflow muffler HEAR IT!(exaust videos below) http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/289/62bg.jpg Summer, 05' Time to stop messing around and get some real modding done. I finished off my summer by installing an Eibach Sportline system and 17X7" Voxx Mg wheels with 215/40-17 Hankook Ventus HRII tires. I also got window tint 45% front and 15% rear. Before drop/tint http://img467.imageshack.us/img467/892/74ck.jpg After the drop: http://img467.imageshack.us/img467/5125/88nx.jpg And now some pics with the wheels: http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/9654/97kr.jpg http://img467.imageshack.us/img467/9948/108uz.jpg http://img467.imageshack.us/img467/4687/115yh1.jpg January, 06' Installed an SCT Tune by Focus Sport Some Night pics http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/1609/120rq.jpg http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/846/131pz.jpg http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/8862/145or.jpg http://img467.imageshack.us/img467/4784/153oi.jpg http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/5008/165af.jpg Car Wash [:)] http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/1442/175yl.jpg http://img467.imageshack.us/img467/6345/181fi.jpg http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/1400/196gv.jpg Now compared to stock: http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/2878/205tr.jpg February, 06. I get a new FC 65mm Throttle Body and my focus meets a giant... http://img467.imageshack.us/img467/713/213mo.jpg http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/8632/227ma.jpg http://img467.imageshack.us/img467/1861/233kn.jpg At the Playground http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/295/255ht.jpg More pics: http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/6085/246qm.jpg The house on the left belongs to the owner of a big McDonalds franchise. I know the guy personally (worked for him) and I know somewhere in there he has a Porsche 911 Turbo, Ferrari 360 spider, z06, and some other goodies stored away in there. His daily driver of choice: A Focus Wagon. So yes he owns expensive sports cars and does not drive them. What a waste! http://img467.imageshack.us/img467/6677/265pd.jpg http://img503.imageshack.us/img503/2132/275ph.jpg Now just relaxing during a nice afternoon, looking back at the busy city. This is my hometown, and this is my favorite spot overlooking San Diego. You can see a lot more when there visibility is better. http://img509.imageshack.us/img509/2251/294vb.jpg San Diego, CA http://img509.imageshack.us/img509/9701/303wh.jpg Then engine as it is today: http://img503.imageshack.us/img503/6290/engine5ld.jpg That is all. I think you are off to a great start. I have a white sedan Lx too, but mine came with a/c. Those 1st pics of your car made me think of mine when mine was stock. You have done yours very tastefully, and I give you props for that.

I'm curious to see what the dash looks like with no A/C! Or does it still have knobs with no functions?
Anyway, the car looks amazing. 100 times better than it was originally. |
