Does anybody know of a great driving school
 
Looking for a driving school that will let me get on the track learn proper technique and have some fun. Anybody know of one?

well you live in detroit, so i'd have to say go to mid-ohio and drive an rsx for a weekend...

Evolution Performance Driving School

About 10% the cost of Bondurant or other schools, and they are fantastic for both the newbie and the advanced driver. Read the thread and you'll see everything...

BTW, it is reccomended you hit at least a few AutoXs before you go...

NASA runs a very nice HPDE program. $300 gets you 3-4 hours on track with an instructor over 2 days, as well as classroom sessions.

I have not tried but have heard that the Richard Petty Driving Experience is very good. They have some classes at the Michigan INT'L speed way. Looks as though it was on the 1st and 2nd of October. I can't tell from the website when it will be back but should be soon. Here is the LINK for it.

That's not going to be very aplicable to driving his car fast though. The other schools have you driving your own car, and learning the specific dynamics, limits, and capabilities of your own car is a huge advantage...

I guess it depends on what kind of racing you plan to do. Road course, autoX, some of both...
