Carter/eBay Fuel Pump

Unfortunately, my fuel pump is gone. My local mechanic told me that, unless I go with a used one, a new one runs for about $200+. I've searched on-line and this particular (Carter) fuel pump brand comes up. Some sites have them for $200+ But, eBay has them for $120+.

So, what do you guys think! Is the eBay one, a go or a no go?!?...

Thanks! In advance. [ffrocks]

Personally I went with a Motorcraft one when I did mine

Moved this to "General Technical Chat" since this involves general maintenance.

I'm running a Bosch pump in Ole' Yeller, it was the only pump available at the time. The carter would probably be similar. I'd definitely shop around for prices like your doing.

Good news, my mechanic ended up finding a new fuel pump for about $100+. I guess that wasn't too bad. [hihi]
