Top speed in 5th - Video inside!
 

Hi!
Last nigth I went to a private road course [:D] and manage to make a video. It´s the first time, so it wasn´t made steady neither focused as it should be.

The video begins in 3th, pulling all the way to 5th at 7300rpm. the road is at first slightly uphill, then straight. The video isn´t with great quality, but the car hit 230 kph (~140mph) for a long time, with a peak of 235 kph (~142mph).

I have tried in a downhill when I already reached 245 kph in 6th (~148mph), but I wasn´t able to try it again because of traffic. I will try next time [;)]

My car is a little tight, mainly because I do 90% city with him (car) and 10% higway/road. [xx(]

Just one more thing: the car as a K&N induction kit and a home-made wiring cable that don´t improve ANYTHING in top speed.

lol I noticed that too. So where did you do this at, country wise?

Do you have any mods?

The movie have sound. It was in a Portuguese Highway, so I was a bit cautious because people that probably were driving at 70mph might not understand that a car behind them was in fast aproach near 140mph.. that´s why I had my blinker on almost all the time [;)]

But actually it were very few cars... my safety and ohters safety first!

My mods is a K&N Induction Kit and an home-made wiring kit. But the car without any mods goes at the same speed. With the induction only reach there a little faster. [:)]

I was wondering what a UDP and/or a ORP may done to the top end power, and consequently to top speed.[?]

I'm sure someone on this site is selling a used ORP at a good price... It would be cool to find out if it would make a difference since there are some very opposed viewpoint regarding this.
