Rear tow hook install

Hello I was curious as to rather or not my 09 focus coupe can be equipped with a rear tow hook. It's the ricer looking ones that Honda people use with a circle at the end usually in some bright neon color

You can put a tow hook on anything.

it can but why?

Might come in handy if the car is tracked at all. The OP might be more interested in the look. I've seen people bolt a tow hook to the oem tow behind the rear bumper

yea...I've seen it on a 2010 ses sedan...doesn't look good imo but you can put one on.

There are slots on the frame of most newer unibody vehicles that can be used for recovery - most tow trucks also have the special hook to be able to retrieve a vehicle like that.

I'm not going to be putting a tow hook on my car, but I plan on installing a receiver and then getting a hook for that. I use a similar setup on my Cherokee and it works great.

I don't plan on towing with my Focus (My Jeep can tow 5000 pounds), but the hitch will be nice if I ever get the car stuck in a parking lot.

There is like nowhere to put it though. The focus dosent have the stock tow loop that Hondas have

if ya find one let me know ill look underneath tomorrow might have to be a weld on thing

There should be slots in the "frame" rail where the tow truck would hook one of these:

The problem is when it's in a ditch or heavy snow ... not that easy.

I looked under and on the frame a few times and I can not find anything like it or a receiver
