much rather have a v1 due to the fact that you have no idea where you're getting popped from,

That's a lot of money for a radar. I really don't have use for something like that.

lol, I'm happy with using Waze and relying on other folks to help make me aware when there are police ahead. Not that I spend much time going more than 5mph above whats posted...the flow of traffic is usually fine with me.

I'm a big fan of the Escort 9500ix. I've been using it for about 4 months, and it's a solid piece of equipment. I use the Escort Live app on my iPhone with the SmartCord, but it can be a little quirky sometimes; resetting default values and the like. Regardless, the hardware has saved my butt on numerous occassions. You just have to understand that there's more to it than driving fast and just nailing the brake pedal whenever it alerts.

If it saves me twice it already pays itself off.

^ This....

You can say your $600 radar saved you from speeding tickets, and paid for itself, thats cool. But if you don't drive as fast, you will save yourself the $ of speeding tickets, and still have $600 in your wallet.

just my 2 cents

The bottom line is we could debate disposable income for the rest of our lives.
