Most of the issue have been with the automatic clutch and the infortainment system. Some have been resolved and some have not. Some people are happy with it and others have had more issues.

The biggest issues are:

-MyFordTouch
-PowerShift (DCT) transmission

Otherwise it's a great car.

I don't have a poll available, but I'd like to know if the early production MyFordTouch vehicles have a majority of the issues versus the later production models. Also, since we all do the software upgrades, is it a hardware issue? Same with the tranny.

This is definitely they right place to go to ensure you know the quirks of certain options versus a base model car without those options.

I vote to start a poll with issues and fixes. Ive argued to get mine repaired to the point that i told customer service that to save them and myself a headache that id drive off a pier with myself in it and hope the doors unlock..having a door inlock issue is what led me to this....[deviltail]

Don't be such a condecending and intollerant person.. The OP is from terrebonne quebec and english is probably his second language.. I'd like to see you speak french as well as he speaks english.

We would all be better on this forum to keep in mind that it's not necessary to criticize people. Remember the old adage about people in glass houses.

The initial biggest issues were with the MyFordTouch system and the DCT.

The MFT problem has, for the most part, been fixed. You'll have a few problems pop up here and there, but it's not longer a disaster like it was.

The DCT problem I never had, I think it's pretty good and I trust the reliability, but that's just me. I do know its not just a Ford exclusive problem though. The dual clutch tranny itself has proven to be faulty across the line, regardless of the manufacturer. IMO Ford has done a much better job than others at fixing this. (Took my GTI 4 months just to get the part in, communication was terrible and then they tried to charge me for it)

As much as people complain about the DCT, it is leaps and bounds more reliable than VW's DSG. VW actually got sued and investigated because the DSG was so horribly unreliable and quite honestly dangerous. My problems came on the highway at 70+ mph. (In their defense, eventually they caved and took care of those, myself included, that had problems through reimbursements and extended warranties)

Consumer Reports doesn't like the MFT and the DCT - eliminate these issues by getting an SE with a manual. Done.
