SCT releases custom tuning for Manual transmission vehicles

We have kept it quiet long enough. Many doubted that we were even working on it though I stated several times that we were. This particular test vehicle is a member of this forum and has been tuned now for several weeks so I would like to thank him again for the use of his car (feel free to chime in if you want to on your impressions of the tune...)

Anything coming for DCT
nervermind read your site. It is coming. How do we get the X3 device to read our engine combo?

Low numbers for a "tuned" car. We have seen those numbers without a tune.

I just posted this in the MK3 section.

Hmmmmmmmm.

I hate to sound like a sour[:)][:)][:)][:)], but I can't say I'm impressed. There are several dyno graphs on stock tuning that look like this. If this is what SCT meant on their facebook months ago about "You'll be impressed..."

I agree. Not only that but I'm still not impressed by the smoothness of the dyno graphs. I was hoping this tune would really smooth out the peaks and valleys found on the stock dynos but it still appears to be pretty choppy.

Less than 20 minutes are people are already complaining....

As indicated, this is custom tuning. Meaning, we as SCT are not putting out a tune file (at least not at this time.) The chart is proof of concept showing that they can be tuned using our hardware and software. The tune files will come from the custom tuning dealer you purchase your device/tune file from.

So the 16GP 12TQ from modded car to mods+tune isn't impressive? Different dynos produce different numbers. A a lot more than what injected has posted so far

.

... You're kidding me, right? That's professional.

Your results are out there for people to look at. Do you not expect people--who by the way, have been waiting for 2 years in some cases--to all have a universally positive opinion?

Maybe saying they're 'low numbers' is just a bit relative. The comparison between the 'untuned 87' pull and the tuned '93' pull isn't too bad. What kind of dyno was this on?

If you can borrow one from a friend or visit any shop that sells our products they can read that info for you. Also, any device (not just ours) that reads info from the processor should be able to get this information.
