Steeda SRI

Ok so im about to buy a Steeda SRI and i have just a couple of questions. First how hard is this to install? Could i do it in an afternoon? and second Which way does the MAF sensor face? i heard about people putting them in backwards and i dont want to make that mistake.

It depends on how far you want to go as far as ripping out the old intake. If you want the whole thing out, it will take longer but it you just want the intake in, it doesn't take long at all.

Just put the MAF in the same direction as it was when you took it out. It should have an arrow on it that should face towards the engine.

Another member of our local Focus club instaled it for me. He jacked the car, took off the driver side wheel and took the entire intake tubing out. It took 20 minutes, pretty easy when you have the good tools.

For your MAFF, the red clip to lock it should be facing the bottom of the engine bay.

You'll find it to improve your mpg, once you learn to keep your foot out of it. It'll be more responsive. You try breathing thru the stocker. Thats the 1st thing that everone should do, even if they don't do anything else.

I found it was easier to pull the front bumper cover to remove all the oem filter crap off.

Despite trying out the new found fun with the SRI my milage seems to have improve a little. This next week I will have to put it to the milage test.
