Is this a good deal?

Looking to get a Focus for work. Found an '07 ZX3 SES. Looks are really clean, excellent condition. 2.0 engine, 81k miles. Asking $5950

Sounds about right, auto or manual?

damnit. i knew i was going to forget something. it's manual, which from what I have read, gets better gas mileage. correct? should i try to get them down more since it's manual? i mean I am going to try to get them down regardless, but being manual, is this too much?

Id go with 5500 cash and see if it needs anything, or any body damage, a carfax helps too.

body is in perfect condition, inside looks great. i'm going to have a carfax pulled on it and have it checked out by a mechanic i know.

is this year and model known for any common problems? i would go newer, but a hatchback would be very beneficial to me.

Put $5000 in one pocket and two $250 rolls in your other pocket... Dig in your $5k an offer that, if no, dig a $250 roll and offer that... If no, walk away from that person and prettend ur on the phone talking to someone and shake ur head a few times, walk to ur car, start it and enjoy some fresh a/c... If theyre still not after you offer the $5500. Ive done this for the last 2 cars ived bought, worked perfectly

also, manual is preferred around these parts [;)]

the '07 is a pretty reliable car too, should be a good pick. Just plan to swap fluids and filters after you take ownership
