Tech help, tdci 2002

hi,
My 2002 focus tdci has a fuel leak, I have identified the leak but don't the what the part is called, its at the front of engine just behind the radiator, it is circular/starfish shape and has about 6 pipes going into it. Sorry I know its a bit vague but any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks
Jim

Hi! Not seeing it makes it hard to tell, but from your description sounds like the injection pump. Now, if that is, you should have 1 feed line, 1 return line, and four injector lines. Do four of the lines go to the cylinders? If so, that is your injection pump. It handles fuel delivery and metering to the cylinders. Now, to find what part of it is leaking. One of the lines? or the pump itself. If it is a line, that is easier to repair than the whole pump. I would think the lines would leak before the pump. Now I have never actually seen this model engine before, I am just going off of description. Good luck!
