FSWERKS Exhaust Question

alright so i just turned 17, and almost have my dad convinced to let me buy a new FSWERKS exhaust system for my 2010 focus SE as a late birthday present. but i have a question about the noise level. i was originally going to get the race kit but after doing some research im finding alot of mixed results, some say its too loud for everyday driving but others say that its just perfect. now i know these results are based on personal preference, but what im trying to find out is what would be suggested for my driving type. i drive on the highway 3-4 times a week (65-75mph), and the other days are just normal roads (40-50mph). i dont normally put the pedal to the floor unless its the weekends and im just blowing off some steam. if anybody has any suggestions on whether i should go with the race or maybe the stealth version, they would be greatly appreciated!

also if anyone has suggestions on another exhaust system that has a price range similar to this would also be appreciated!

Just get the stealth. If you decide that it's too quiet you can swap someone for the straight section of the pipe later on.

I don't speed in my focus, like ever, so I don't worry about attracting attention. I have the race version on my car and love it. At 17 you might be the same or you might like to drive with a heavy foot. Extra attention, from cops or other drivers, isn't typically a good thing.

Yeah im in the same boat to lol, not sure about stealth or race.. there is a video of the interior sound and it doesnt sound to droning if u know what i mean has a real nice tone. I am edging toward the race exhaust just because it sounds better in my opinion

If I were you I'd take the money and save it.

It's nice to do things to your car when you have disposable income, but if I would have saved all the money I've ever got as gifts over the year I'd have a very well funded set of mutual funds, instead of wasting it on frivolous crap.

And when you have disposable income just buy a 2 year old performance car.

^^ you can either be the environmental police or the money police, you can't be both :P

Just remember to take into account the microphone it was recorded on wasn't that great so I'm sure it sounds a little different in person

i actually have a job as a lifeguard during the summer which i make about 3k from. and actually the reason i got the job was to start adding parts to my focus. i had thought of just buying a car with everything in it but i kinda want to learn to do the stuff myself so i can save money in the long run by being able to do simple repairs and not have to go to a repair shop. i usually save all my money but this is something i just really want to do.
